Equinix Singapore is home to Equinix’s Asia-Pacific Network Operation Centre. It comprises of two world class facilities with more than 172,000 sq. ft. of colocation space and while the SG1 facility is BCA-IDA Green Mark certified, the SG2 facility has won the GoldPLUS Award for environmental friendly designs.
Equinix IBX Data Centres are constructed with cutting-edge fire detection and suppression systems such as FM200/Novec Clean Agent Extinguishing System and Pre-Action Sprinkler System. The facility also employs high-tech sensory mechanisms such as Very Intelligent Early Warning (VIEW) Laser Smoke Detector. These advanced systems are designed and built to National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA – US) Standards and can limit the potential for collateral damage in the event of a fire. This provision is also consistent with the exacting conditions set by their esteemed customers like Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Sony, Electronic Arts and Amazon.Com.
The project was done in phases of only 4-months each. RICO was able to complete all installations and passed the stringent Integrated Performance Validation Tests (IPVTs) with ZERO system defects. World class indeed!
